The Gladesville Pergola and Pool Deck project transformed a standard suburban backyard into a warm, resort-inspired outdoor entertaining space with a distinct Balinese influence. Completed in 2024, the design brings together the existing in-ground pool, deck spa, and surrounding recreation areas into a more cohesive and elevated outdoor environment positioned alongside the family basketball court.
A new pergola structure was introduced to provide shelter, comfort, and year-round usability, while maintaining an open and relaxed connection to the pool area. Integrated features including a bar servery and Colorbond roofing enhance functionality for entertaining, with ceiling fans improving comfort throughout the warmer months.
Blackbutt timber was selected throughout the project to introduce warmth, durability, and a natural character that complements the tropical-inspired design direction. Existing outdoor elements were carefully reworked and upgraded to sit sympathetically alongside the new additions, resulting in a cohesive outdoor area that feels both refined and highly liveable.
